My Spacer Kit fully installed???

My Spacer Kit fully installed???
Hey Guys,
I think I might have been F__KED over when my suppose shop installed the spacer kit. Below is the only pic I can physically see a part of the kit.
But right below this spacer, I can see a super thin spacer but looks way to skinny to be from Aaron and looks OEM.
Then I figured that atleast the top right spacer in the pic below would be where the intake manifold begins. But I cant see that. So now I am kind of freaking out.
Can anyone send me pics of where all the parts are before I go insane please?

throttle body and elbow - 2 thick pieces
lower - 2 thin pieces (they arent on yet, but you can see where they go)
upper - 1 thick piece(the one you have pictured above)

LOL...Ask anyone on the org and they will tell you that its almost 99% positive I would have messed it up or dropped something in the lower IM. lol
Thanks for the pics bro. Ok so I think that the 2 thin spacers are indeed Aarons. Unless there are indeed OEM....
But what about those other 2 pieces in the second pic of Aarons kit?

Oops!! ok I see the other 2 from your first pic... my bad...
So... i think one of the pieces cannot be installed on the Kinetix (The one for the elbow)
Can anyone confirm?

Well thanks to my new friend Felix and my already good friend Warren...
I found out Saturday at a small meet that my entire Spacer kit was never installed. indeed the lower IM spacers are the OEM and I was pretty pissed (who wouldnt be). So tomorrow I am going to go back to the shop and either get my money back or some other type of resolution so I can get a new set from Aaron.

Let's start at the heads where the Lower Intake Manifold sits. There are two 1/16" thick spacers that go against the two heads. You can see this when everything is installed. Just look closely.
The next spacer is the Upper Intake Manifold spacer, which is 1/4" thick. By looking at your pic, it is definitely installed.
The next spacer is the Elbow Spacer, which is 1/4" thick as well. You will not be able to install this single spacer b/c of your Kinetix manifold. This is the ONLY spacer that shouldn't be installed.
The next spacer is the 1/4" Throttle Body Spacer. It should have been installed right behind the TB. Also, the coolant bypass fitting should have been installed just behind the TB on the elbow.
If you gave the shop the installation instructions that were included in your kit, then they should have followed it. You should have 4 spacers installed on your engine and you will be able to see every single one of them when everything is pieced together if you look closely enough.
Also, they did not use the correct bolts or studs that were included in the kit. The one bolt on the right side of the Kinetix manifold is used to replace the stud and they didn't even use a flat and lock washer. They should have used the zinc plated lengthen studs that were included in the kit. The other bolt doesn't have the flat washer in place. They only used a lock washer. That will be ok, but, it gouges the surface of your Kinetix manifold. It definitely appears that they did not follow the instructions. Did the shop throw away the unused pieces of your kit? The only thing that should have been left over that you can't install with the Kinetix is the Elbow Spacer, 4 zinc plated bolts, 4 lock washers, and 4 flat washers.

Aaron, could the shop think he didn't have both lower IM spacers like the guy who did mine and just opt'd out on replacing the lower? Ya know, get paid and hope the customer never sees the missing parts?
The two small lower spacers get stuck together some times in the packaging.

But any shop that would do what you are suggesting sounds pretty shady to me. It pays to find a decent shop. But it does appear they didn't even bother reading the instructions.

Aaron, it's me Kevin. The customer.
Yes, that is possible. I've had one customer call me about that. I told him to contact the shop and tell them that both the LIM spacers are wrapped in the same foam wrap. Most don't realize that 1/16" thick is pretty thin. So, when both LIM spacers are together, it looks like one thin spacer.

Were the two pieces physically stuck together with some kind of sticky residue? Or did you just not expect to see them wrapped together?

Wow! I'm sorry to hear that. There are 5 spacers in the VQ35DE Kit. Everything soonerfan posted is correct.

Yeah bro these guys are a joke but they are willing to buy me a new kit. 4 huh!? I had a few guys tell me only 3 spacers could only fit. Is this confirmed with anyone who has a Kinetix?
Thanks for the news on the bolts too!! I think they used the bolts that came with the Kinetix instead.

Tell them that all orders are taken directly through the website at:
www.NWPEngineering.com
I'm sorry you are having these problems. I would find another shop to do the install for you this go around. Make sure they read the instructions and fully understand that RTV sealant much be carefully applied to both sides of the 4 spacers. Show them the Elbow spacer that doesn't need to be installed.
Do not hesitate to contact me if any questions come up. [aaron@nwpengineering.com]
