It's not that hard, I am doin mine in a few weeks. After my tech and I get done makiing the Vias Plates. We will be selling this mod as well but if you want to do it yourself take you cluster apart and find out what size LED's you need order them and solder them in.

Instrument cluster and information screen require the PLCC 4 single color LED's (approximately 65 or so), the door switches and some of the heat and air controls require the PLCC 2 LED's (approximately 40 or so), the remaining LED's in the radio-heat and air controls are the 8506 led and are very tiny (approximately 60 or so). You will burn a few while in the process of re-soldering. Hope it works for you.

There is a guy here on the org that does it. If you are close to him you can drive to RI or just send him the board I guess.

His name is GEC.

i work in ri as a tech at an acura dealer. i just wanted to know easier ways to remove cluster. and what leds go in relpace of stock ones. i think one of my questions was answered. Instrument cluster and information screen require the PLCC 4 single color LED's (approximately 65 or so). thanks

When I did mine I used the fine point and due to the fact that there are so many LED's and the time involved in the desoldering and soldering, you will have to keep the point filed sharp because the point starts to break away due to soldering iron staying hot for hours on end. It is a good idea to have a patient helper to help remove the LED's as you heat up the contacts. I actually used two irons(one for each side of the LED) and it made it easier to remove the LED's and to install the new ones straight and flat.

yes i am dying to do this mod myself. i already have the soldering tools an with my electrical background im more than confident i can do this mod no problem. all i need to know is exactly what type of leds i need an where to purchas then. i have a avic d3 so i dont need the radio ones, but ill need the speedo, ac controls an the narrow upper info screen. i have an 07 se. oh an i guess the doors too. to do the steering wheel controls will make it 100 percent uniform but im not too sure about taking apart the steering wheel. OH! an the shifter lights, its only one white bulg covered with a amber shell that lights up the shifter. i have no idea how i can make it blue.

It is an LED but it is not very common. You can get the 0603 and it will work just as well.
