Whatever happened to the "sleeper?"

My idea of the perfect Max is an absolutely stock external appearance with a Chermax turbocharged engine and modified trans and suspension to channel the extra power. This is the way we made cool cars in the olden days, and I regret that this is not the "modern way."

I was thinking of a new bumper and some rims then I remembered. Cars that look good get stolen. I had a tricked out F 150 Lariat. I added the 20's and the next week, GONE!! So, sleeper it is for me. I'll get some OEM 2007+ rims when I finally get around to installing the eibach springs sitting in my garage collecting dust. Oh, and paint the black trim on my front bumper to match the rest of the car. That's about it for me.

You might want to do a little more reading about drivetrain loss in FWD vs RWD.

I think at the end it's all personal preference. Lightly modified exterior with a heavily modified engine.

It's the sound that says it all, I saw a CTS-V and it was stock but earth shattering exhaust, mind blowing when the guy pulled away

Nothing wrong with a little tasteful exterior modding if done in moderation. On the engine, it's time to devastate.
