Convince Tokico to make us Illuminas

I added an anonymous poll.

Reasons to buy adjustables:
-If you are on lowering springs.
-If you go to a track.
-Coilovers are too stiff/expensive/(so far) unreliable
-You desire the choice to find YOUR preferred setting and not what a manufacturer decides or according to others' opinions.
-OEM Nissan are proven to not last.
-6th gen SE owners for the only Maxima generation received the same suspension as the SL.

Tokico Illumina is the preferred/most recommended suspension part of the earlier gens. So I want these and am willing to help get them available. It was awesome for ActiveTuning to offer while they did the service of retrofitting Koni and AGX adjustables for us. These would be made specifically for us.
----------------------------------------

Tokico would like to see an interest in the Illuminas for the A34.
Please add your name if interested in adjustable shocks/struts designed for the 6th gen.

Are there plans for the Illumina?

Oh and if you read the ConsumerReports Car edition, the 04 received 1 black dot. For suspension. Brakes and Audio were half a dot. But everything else was average-excellent.

Anything will be better than my crappy OEM struts. I like the stiffness level of the OEM I just don't like how they break after 2 000 miles. I don't need adjustable- just something that is not as harsh as GR2s. But you better hurry b/c the Monroes are looking very tempting to me.

i just ordered the rear GR-2s. you really think they're too harsh?
I need something better than stock until adjustables are available.
Like I stated above, Tokico has their HP series "In Development" listed for us. This is to persuade them to also make the adjustable Illuminas that the other Gens love so much.

I'd give them a shot if they aren't over the top on price and have a decent dampening rate.

well you can get a full set of Illuminas for the A-33 for less than $500.

The recently released A-34 KYB GR-2 stock replacement ones are cheaper than the A-33. So take that as you want.

I'd deff be interested, assuming price wasn't ridiculous. I was ready and going to buy the koni's (and lowering springs) until I found out they were no longer being produced/retrofitted for our cars. I would not be interested in the hp series as I had them on my 4th gen and were not designed for lowered vehicles.

anyone that was interested in the once offered Adjustable Konis or AGXs from ActiveTuning, this is our next opportunity. This is not a group buy or any commitment.

Let's show the aftermarket we want mods.

I live in Cleveland, the poorest city in the US. They don't have money for road repair. If the ride is any "firmer" or "harsher" than stock then its not what I am looking for. I like my Progress drop- I just gotta get the damn broken strut rattle noise to go away; everytime I hit a pothole or bump I hear the noise and feel the slop of the right front wheel not rebounding correctly.

well that's why you would want adjustable shocks/struts. you can choose from softer-to-firmer than oem.

as for those that are concerned about firmer, the SE owners would have firmer already but Nissan skipped the true SE suspension for the 6th gen. Look at the part numbers in the Strut problem sticky. You will also read in the 7th gen Nissan info that the SE suspension has returned.

you see, I don't really know what made the ride that much harsher, is it because i am lowered or is it the GR-2. Now with the little kid (7 months) and constant nagging I don't enjoy the setup as much as I had when I had it done. HELP!!! I don't want to go to stock!
