Heres the service manual to download. I thought there was a port in the front valve cover and one in the back but not sure.

Forgive my obvious ignorance.

What and where is a cias assembly?

Is it on the driver's or passenger side?

Is it near the top of the valve cover?

Thanks man! Exactly what I needed!

Yeah the FSM probably had it, but there was not a clear picture when I looked up "PCV valve" - only replacement/testing instructions.

I'm used to the cheap Chilton/Haynes where they have diagrams for idiots.

Yeah, the FSM assumes we know what each part looks like exploded, and know EXACTLY where it is on the car, so i see your point.

Things may be slightly different being that the pic is from a 5th gen, but, I've seen it on an 04 Maxima (A34) and it is in the same place, but there are more plastic covers, etc.

That pic is from a 5th gen? Are you sure? On the 5th gen I recall it being on the driver's side.

Just replace it.

Man its a PITA to get to. And getting a socket on it to remove it is even worst. My 5th gen was WAY easier!

Ok, if you have ever looked inside you im, there usualy is a small amnt of oil build up due to driving the crap out of your car. the oil is dirty and gets circulated back into the block. with a catch can it will stop the oil from getting into your im or block. It basically prolongs engine life and makes car run more productive. I never even noticed that write up LOL I jst used and extra obx racing can I had lyin around.
