maybe for the car it belongs to but for our maxima its a complete cover top and bottom.
this cover also has to many around edges, ours have a sharper edges. also the cut is off.

 

I think from these it would be really easy to make the light fit our mirrors, the LED piece comes right off and could reattach with a bit of fab. You have the template right there, you can out the shape of the light on the stock mirror and that would be it...

 

I bet you can cut your OEM covers to put that light on.....

suppose to get mine like mon or tues. it does seem to look like they wont fit on my 07, but alas, good suggestions and i will use the expensive template to transfer to my oem mirros, just one ?, is it difficult to remove mirror from housing so i can attach the screw and to secure the light to the oem housing?

if you want folding mirrors why dont you guys just get the ones that come in the 07's? wouldnt that be easier for you guys to install?

no, i'll tell ya what. if this is the kinda service and help this company does, i wont be doing anything else with them. been almost a month and just bs emails back n forth and now i'm concerned that they won't even work with my 07. the ad did say 04-08 fitment, hope they resolve this. i'll just probably use their's as an expensive template and mod my oem mirrors which dues has offered to help me on. good and better luck with your's scrui

 

Totally agree, that's why I get skiddish about getting Maxima parts from Taiwan or Korea because some companies still think the Teena is just the European version of the Maxima here in the US and most of the body parts are not interchangable.

 

what ever you guys do, keep sending these guys emails, don't let it die, I'll keep it up until we get the right parts or a full refund.

 

I hope both of you get this resolved..I acutally Email this about 4 months ago and he said he has them for the 6th gen Maxima.

He kept Messaging me to purchase them and I was very tempeted so many times to get them but got very cautious because he was pushy in the Emails.
Im sorry you guys had to find out the hard way but I hope he does resolve this issue. I sent him Email / Specs of the mirrors already.. He usually responds back to me within 48 hours and its been 4 days since I last Email him.

Excatly , I have family in Asia so I make sure my cousins find out for me before I make a commiment to purchase items overseas because they are (Asian)A(J)DM and not USDM.

I hope the seller is aware that we over here are highly interstead in the REAL DEAL mirrors and hopefully resolve the issues and get the correct USDM A34's

 

Yeah he sent me pushy emails too, which triggered red flags. Its a shame you guys had to pay hard earned money and now may have to struggle to get it back. Keep us all posted.

 

These guys are in California, and they are dealing with Japanese dealer. I'm very surprise they are so naive to make such a big mistake, only tells me these people in Cal did not do their homework.
He insists that that these mirrors are sent all over the US and they know shops who install them. he even mentioned a place here in Queens NY on woodhaven Blvd that installs them all the time. I don't get it. I'm going to have to take a ride over there and talk to these people.

 

I belive these guys are in Berkeley. I was in Berkeley last week, but at that time, we didnt know there was gonna be a problem. I wonder if they are for the Altima?

you 6g guys need to do it right and buy the mercedes replica blinkers and have them molded into the oem mirrors. mirror covers are ftl anyway.

you guys seem to have a real nice mirror shape for them as well. a little fg, a little filler, a little paint, and you've got yourself a much nicer "jdm vip" mirror.

i was planning on doing this i actually bought the mercedes turn signals until i found out body shops were looking for around $400 to do this mod.....

yeah. but like ankit said, its not cheap. but when you consider $200+ for cheap color matched covers $300-400 doesn't sound that bad imo. would be a nice diy project if you're familiar with fg/body work.

 

well i had actually gotten the oem mercedes lights which were $54 a pieces.... so thats $108 right there + another $400 for the customization work behind the mirrors... so its a $500 project or so

My buddy had an 04 Fairlady and his brother has the 6th gen (07 I think)..Some guy pulled a hit and run at Lowes on this guy (side of 350z was damaged badly) the guy backed into him with a truck. Long story short, since he had to fix it up, he decided to get a new pair of mirrors and his brother ended up getting a pair as well for the 6th gen.

Now, I know that his brother was working on getting this done about a month ago. Last I spoke to both of them, Steve (6th gen guy) said that seems like it should not be a problem..

i'm sure you could have got the labor for less than $400 if you shopped around, maybe not though depending on your area. you also could have saved some money buying the replicas, but i probably would have done the same thing and gone oem (btw 54*2=108 ).

just putting out an option for you guys. i don't spend too much time in the 6g forums so i don't know what kind of money you guys are putting into your cars. i know the 4g guys have gotten progressively cheaper over the years.

Ok, stopped by the shop in woodhaven, spoke to Rick. he confirms that the covers do not fit on a 6th generation. he pulls out the light system and integrates it with the existing ones. he cuts the existing nissan covers. he said if I was interested he would do it for 150. I told him thanks but no way right now.

so in other words we got screwed.

The sale on ebay is false. I have written proof from two of these people that they state it does, which is false.

Time to get a full refund. I'm pissed.
