I took my fujita off to clean the filter. I figured while I had it off I would clean the maf. I disconnected the battery while doing this. I used crc cleaner. Now I turn the car on and I have a cel with tcc slip light on. The car starts but wont go above 2k rpm. Did I kill the maf and why the other lights all of a sudden?

 

Did a reset and all lights are gone. Hope they stay off.

Ive cleaned a maf before. Just never had the lights. Funny thing is I used to get this whistle sound. Today when I reinstalled the maf I used to gasket sealant. No more whistle and were I used to get 14-16mpg city. Im now getting 19.5. Hope the trend continues.

 

sounds good just hope the light stays off. You shouldn't have to clean the MAF that often.

 

Its not something I normally do but was taking the fujita off anyhow. I put it on like last november . I was hearing like a blow off valve sound and just thought it was the intake. Now that I used some gasket sealer on the maf its not there. Never had a light.

 

I put my Fujita on at 15k and now have 50k, never touched the filter or the MAF

 

It wasnt that dirty but wanted to check it anyhow.
