Seat Exit/ Entry Question 2008 Max SL

Just bought a Max 2008 SL with the platnum option. Can't seem to figure out the Exist/Entry Feature on this car. The seat memory position works, but when you open the door to get in our out there is no seat movement to let you in or out. Is there somethjing to turn on to activate this option? We have no Nav display screen so I can't see if its activated. Book mentions batt or a fusable link. Kinda hard to understand this as the problem. Car is brand new with only a 150 miles. I'm wondering if its something simple I'm overlooking before I go back to have it ck out.

Thanks,
Royg

dealer has to set it for you during your 3/36 warranty, otherwise they charge you.

the seat and wheel would move when you insert or remove(and open door) the key from the ignition for the 6.0 gen. i assume for 6.5 when you start the car and turn it off.

I have my seat all the way back so i turned it off since it didn't need to move. does your wheel move? is your seat all the way back already?

Not sure what u are saying, but as in my 03, as soon as I open the door the seat will move to let me out and if I'm outside going in, the seat (assuing it's not in position already) should move to allow u to enter. This one does neither. Yes the dealer will set or fix.

You've got some cool wheels there.

Problem solved. Had to reboot the computer.

It seems evertime you kill the power, like changing the battery, the computer will have to be reset to get the seat settings back to normal. I think lost of power may even affect the moon roof operation. Dealer told me that but I'm not sure. This is on an 08.

Is there a way I can activate this feature on a 6MT? I would like to at least have the steering wheel go up when I turn off the car and down when I start the car.

it's in you Personal Settings. Look at the How To Sticky for procedures.

No luck on that. I checked my screen and it's missing the seat adjustment and sterring wheel adjustment option.

My 2007 has the memory seats and the nav system and I just went in to the settings on the nav and turned mine off and it lists everything right there.

I just got tired of mine constantly going back and forth and up and down.

Believe me, I already read the sticky and went to my personal settings. I moved down the list and everything is listed except for the sterring wheel lift and seat slide setup options. I'm not sure if its because my car is a 6MT

****, with 60k miles the stealership might even charge me for calling them to ask a question. I beleive 6mt don't come with this feature, but not 100% sure. I thought about setting my second memory button to position the steering wheel up and seat back so that before I turn off my ignition I hit the button and have the seat go back and the steering wheel go up.

08 maxima Exit/Entry working!

Hope This helps Someone, After much searching I could not find the fix to Activate Exit/Entry feature and read that it had to be brought to dealer, because I have the "Bose" but not the NAV, Anyways,

After Much messing around with the CAR off and door closed I put the seat all the way back, and Steering wheel all the way up.

I then held the "Set" Button for 10 seconds both 1 and 2 flashed, Next from lock position, I started the car and pushed my "1" setting till all was moved correctly back to my drive setting.

When I turned off the car and opened the door the steering wheel moved all the way up and the seat all the way back. I said to myself "no way! finally?"

I then closed the door and then turned the car on and it now automatically moves to my last position "1" without me pushing it. I turn off the car and open the door and Steering/Seat move all the way back again!!!

Hope this helps someone I SEARCHED Everywhere and Could not find this, hope this saves/makes someone's day!

I let the dealer reset. Something about having to go into the computer. I think I was told that the moon roof too would not operate along with the seat problem and if you ever kill power like to change battery the problem would be there again.

You "searched everywhere"! But it's all in your car owner's manual. Apparently you didn't search that far.

Look, I looked in the Manual! I posted this because, many have asked, if you search it states in a Sticky that, the dealer is supposed to turn this on for non "NON NAVI"

I posted the info for others who may need the help, not for a smart remark. If you do not need the info don't use it then.

I know this is very old but, Thanks Satman. You really helped me. Here is what I found and what I did on my 2007 Max without Navi. Press and hold the set button for 10sec. The 2 seat indicator lights will blink ONCE meaning the auto entry/exit feature is cancelled. Press and hold the set button again for 10 sec. The 2 seat indicator lights will blink TWICE meaning the auto entry/exit feature is activated. Worked like a champ!
