Timing chain tensioners

I been thinking a lot lately about how many of us are facing issues with the screaching, chirping, and clciking sounds. I have had this chirping sound come out of my engine bay for the past 6 months each time I switch gears when the car is cold. I only hear it at work were I park in a garage. Once I drive on the street I don't hear anything. Many have told me that it could be my pulley, belt, pulley tensioner, AC clutch (I doubt it is), and now the timing chain tensioners. I called the stealership and the A-holes told me that it was normal. I did not pay over 30K for a car thats going to sound like a fukn bird everytime I drive off. My car only has 60K miles and I think its a little too soon to be facing these kinds of issues. I take really good care of my car. I always do its maintenance when required.

So the big question is, could we (all who are facing this issue) have Nissan fix this for us as a recall issue? I'm only asking since many of us are facing this problem. I would hate to pay over $2k for a repair. I rather put that money towards a set of rims and tires (which I havn't been able to purchase yet). I guess if Nissan see's that there are many Max owners with this issue they would do something about it. So, any ideas as to what we can do?

It's related to your clutch, manual tranny clutch.

And @ Nissan fixing all 'sound' related items.

So if its the clutch, would it be replacing everything? Is it a bad thing that it chirps?

I can't remember exactly, but try searching the 5th gen forums.

After a quick search of the 5g forums, I didn't find anything useful. But I have heard of this before w/ a 6MT, maybe it was a 6th gen.

If that's the case than I would replace to aftermarket. I'm wondering if I could put my car on a lift and run it while someone listens by the engine area to pin point the source of noise.

That might work, but in the meantime, I would research it extensively on here. This way, you have more 'ammo' when you go an try to get it fixed.

I was just reading under the 5th gen section and searched under "chirping sound" and I was reading a thread related to this sound on a clutch. It sounds more like the sound is continuous. My sound only happens when I reach 3k rpms. I have noticed that this also happens without having to switch gears. When I hit the gas to 3k rpms and release to switch gears the noise comes out, but I hear the noise before I apply my foot on the clutch.
