FUJITA Intake installed!!!
FUJITA Intake installed!!!
So after backing INJEN cai for a while, i decided to go with the dragon instead. LoL... Sorry INJEN guys... But i figured after seeing all the comments from max.org members who have FUJITA intake and didn't have probs with, you can't go wrong with that. I've heard form other max.org members who had INJEN intake and the mounting bracket broke. Didn't want to take that chance.
Only thing i'm worried about is those little swamps in NY when it rains a lot... But it seldom ever really get that bad where i live at. I figured i'll post some pics of the dragon. I love the sound this thing makes, sounds like a real muscle car.
I'll try to get videos this weekend.

lol your deff. right but some ppl like to keep it on bc they feel it makes the engine bay look "naked" i deff feel him on the mount braking on the injen i'm tryin to sell mine to get the jita
and i've been drivin from ny-nj for a yr with cai and no probs and idk if u've drove in jersey highways when its pouring rain but just a tip THEIR DRAINS SUCK!! its always flooded and i haven't had a prob yet knock on wood!
with the exception to rear-end gears in my mustangs, ive done all my own mods on all of my cars/motorcycles.
how would you rate the install in difficulty? (10 being most difficult)
id like to swap my headlights to Sylvanias but really dont want the hassle of dropping the bumper cover just for bulbs.... same goes for a CAI.
thanks.

On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the hardest i would give this a 3. And this is from someone that's mechanically challenged, LoL. All i did was read the instructions.
5k RPM must be the sweet spot because I had the WEAPON-R intake and it also came to life after 4500 RPM. I miss Maxine, but I love getting 33+ MPG from the Nissan 2.5 liter. I don't know what I miss more, the howwwwl of the intake or the growl from the "MagFlow" exhaust.
just installed mine today and it doesn't seem that noticeable unless i floor it 5-7k rpms. just curious if it just needs to be broken in.... checked all my connections everything is tight.... i did notice at the tb and my intake there is about 1/4" gap between them, should they flushed together? (surrounding rubber seemed small)

Not to change topics a tad.. but since i can't create new threads I needed to ask somewhere. I just installed a Fujita Intake, and now I'm getting an SES Light. The engine seems to hesitate under full throttle.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks in advance..
And I am going to have the codes run on my lunch today... hoping for something simple...

Sorry OT guys for the noob!!!
Did you disconnect your battery before you installed the Fujita? I recommend use an OBE-II reader and erase the code, if the SES light comes back, you may have a problem. If that's not an option wait 3-4 days till your ECU relearns the increased air capacity and the light will go out on it's own...

Sorry, is there some special thing to do to ask for help? Anyways I had the code cleared after I had it read. You said the ECU has to relearn... should the car run way lean in the mean time?

No you can always ask for help but your piggy backing someone else's thread so that's considered thread jacking on the Org. Once you get to 15 post you will be able to start your own thread and ask away. It's mostly to protect against spammers who will post one thing and run!!!
As for your question I don't think your car is running way lean but your ECU is dynamic and adapts to changing conditions so that your engine runs at optimum performance. Your car has more air being forced in and the ECU has to learn how to balance the new Air/Fuel ratio and this takes about 3-5 days depending on how much you drive the car.
Has your SES light come back on, is she still writing rough?
PM me the answer so this thread doesn't get jacked any more or a moderator will give up both a vacation...
