Clear Corner/ Halo amateur install *PICS* (56K Beware)

Well I went to every damn shop in portland, maine and no one wanted to touch installing these halos. So that being said, my only option was to do it myself. For those of you who didn't purchase these for that very reason let me tell you. I am an automotive detailer and have always had a knack for taking things apart. If you have basic knowledge of taking cars apart (stickies are great) and also have basic knowledge of wiring you can make this mod happen. I am extremely impressed at how bright these halos are. Pics dont do them justice but i figured you all would enjoy. I followed the process as outlined by maxxpower (props) and not the directions as they were obviously designed for the G. When all is said and done I surely felt like the sh*t driving my baby home with the halos installed. I have to say that maxima.org is the best thing that ever happened to my 6th gen and I love to see cars (chernmax, deus, jsmith.......) that I can work my way to. This is a start for now.

I am waiting for a heated steering wheel switch (i want to make it say halo)that will turn them on and off independently. But for now they are on with the parking lights

some company that sells halos for the Maxima, also has an independent switch that you can turn them on/off with a switch that you hold at all times.

Now it's time for you to cancel out the amber day-time running light. All you have to do is put electrical tape on one of the little connectors of the bulb.

Happy modding

IMO, nothing looks good up there unless you get 8,000k HID head-lights because amber, PIAA, switch-backs (what's pictured) just look odd IMO

Get some 3,000k fog-light HIDs

halo lights info.

i have one question. when you got the lights installed. do the halos rings glow with the light turned off. the car we are putting them does not have running lights and we wanted to know if they will glow without turning your lights on like in this picture:

By the way, where did you get the clear corners from?

Nice bump, but better to search than start a new thread.

4camaro-You could get an independent switch for the halos so you can ONLY have those on, OR wire it to your daytime-running lights and just block off the diode on the bulb that lets it turn on.

I wouldn’t mind clearing mine out if I ever open them up again. I’ve just got mine wrapped in the chrome carbon fiber but I think in time the sun might fade it out. Not sure though.
