Nismo exhaust
Hey guys,
I'm in the market for a Nismo exhaust. So far I came across someone that is willing to sell me the Y pipe and two mufflers for less than $100. The only problem is that it is missing all the other parts (not sure which ones) and gaskets.
Now the question is, should I buy it and purchase all the other parts seperatly? How hard would it be to find and what parts do I need? Where can I get them for cheap?
Thanks

The y pipe and mufflers, You are missing the mid pipe and the gaskets also you would need the 1 inch extension piece that you could have a local muffler shop weld on. But he mid pipe would not be able to buy it seperatly. But you could just have a customed or look for a used greddy or something of ebay. I probally would look for a new sysytem if the used one is not complete.

Bro... save yourself the hassle and get a new system. That way you know can be rested knowing that you're installing something with no problems or headaches. They're about $650.00 shipped, if i'm not mistaken. I just bought mine few days ago... just waiting for it to arrive so I can have it installed.
Don't get me wrong.. I do buy used things SOMETIMES, but most of the time... I pay more and buy it new so I save myself the headache of fixing things that go wrong in used. :-)

Thanks guys for your quick responses. I will consider buying a new system instead. The guy who is selling it was not able to tell me how many miles the system has and it sounds like this part was ripped of an Altima and I have a thing againts buying stolen crap.
Thanks again

I have considered buying the Catman, but the Nismo is cheaper and it will match my intake. The only thing I don't like about the Nismo is the it is not dual tip, but I do like the price, name, and the fact that is not as loud as the Catman.

Did you get yours from Berk? The extension pieces is cause our wheel base is 1 inch longer( 111) than the Altima (110). These systems were made for the Altima's and berk modded them to fit our car. I did the first test fit a few months back to see if everthing lined up ok which it did so now there a good number of us with this system on our car. Great sounding system.

I'd like to order one of these Nismo systems for my 08 SE and will worry about extending the B pipe at a local shop. Which Altima model year (2002-2006?) is compatible with our 6th gen (minus the 1").

Taking a wild guess, I'd say you need to get the 07-08 Nismo... The 08 Altima probably has a similar set up to the 08 Maxima. You might need to that extended an inch or two. Someone can correct me if i'm wrong please...

You want the 2002 to 2006 Altima Nismo, assuming the 2008 Maxima exhaust is the same as the 2004 - 2006. I believe the 2007 - 2008 revamped the Altima exhaust to something completely different from Maximas.

Hilbe, are you still loving your Cattman Y and Nismo setup?

Yes. Perfect volume, good looks, and great performance.
