I HATE ROCKS...... 1st chip damage on 08

OMFG.... i need to vent... its my fukn luck that rocks are attracted to my car. My last 05 max had tons of rock damage on my wind shield. 1 rock took out my bumper turn signal light and a few rocks dented my bumper. that is why on my old 05 max, i bought a car bra to help protect and conceal the damage.

Now on my new 08 silver max, i received my first rock chip on the middle of my hood. a fukn rock came out of no where while i was doing 35mph. it chipped my hood and landed 3 small chips on my window. WTF.... my car was only 2 weeks old.

Yesterday on the freeway, i noticed 2 more rock chips on my front bumper and 1 small one on the lower part of my hood... Shhiiiittt

i noticed if i go over 70mph on the freeway, rocks target my car more often. I think its the new speed enforcement tactic that Arizona has... Especially cars owned by me...

So not even a month old and my car has blemishes already.... so to all you rock collectors out there....

Clear Bra Before it gets worse. Mine has saved me from many rocks.

My front end is destroyed by rock chips, sand blasted to the point where it needs paint, and I just noticed a nice triple rock chip on my hood, love that white primer

Front end of my Onyx Max is toast too, after only 42000 miles. I also have a nice chip in the windshield at perfect eye level for me when I drive so I stare at it all the time!!

And I thought Houston was bad. I feel your pain! I've spent so much money replacing my windshield's on my previous max's that now I can get them at cost from the glass company. It's sad when you've had to replace it so many times you eventually get a chance to invite the windshield guy out to a BBQ and end up being good friends. WTF?

I believe it just depends on how far you drive on a daily basis. The more time you are in the car better the chances of something flying up. The first thing I did was by a front end bra for my max and it has helped but I drive 38 miles one way to work and several construction areas so I have a few places already in my hood.

But I have to get my front end repainted in 2 weeks and just had the rear bumper done because of some moron that ran over some sheetmetal in front of me and I ended up running over it and it messed up one tire, 2 rims and the front and rear bumpers.

I had bought a new Camaro back in 1993 and two weeks after I bought the car I had a large gravel truck going the other way lose some gravel and I took a large piece right in front of my face in the windshield. The funny thind is i saw it coming all the way across and I started braking some but i was in heavy traffic and just had no where to go.

man..that really sucks...i got a 93 maxima (i know..it's old, its suppose to have dings and sratches), but it's my first car. i bought it from my dad's mechanic for 2700 and on the way home with it..very first day..i'm driving behind a 18 wheeler..and a rock pops up and puts a huge chip in my windshield. i was so pissed.

Could be worse, i crept in too close in the garage and have a puncture wound from a logpile on my freshly painted bumper.

Unless I'm in traffic, I stay at least 3 car lengths behind cars of go around them because most chip damage can be avoided if you don't follow too close...

Wait, you were on the freeway and noticed rock-chips on your bumper? Maybe you were following a chrome tanker too close and got a few more in the process

Here where im at there are alot of quarry's so avoiding rocks is very hard.. and my SE-R is lowered and with that front bumper hanging lower then most it seems to be a dang magnet for rocks
