Anyone here direct wired your radar detector to mirror?

I've been wanting to wire my radar direct to my rear view mirror, it has 3 wires.. since its an auto dimming rear view mirror and compass.

The leads i see are:
- Black w/pink
- Black (or dark brown?)
- Yellow

Which leads are the correct ones? I'd try my multimeter but it quit working right so i threw it away, and as far as the How-to goes, the link is invalid.

Does anyone recommend using a fuse to wire this in or has everyone had good luck just wiring it direct.

Thanks

Ok, originally i was going to go with my own wire, invisicord style into the back of the mirror harness... Since i had already made it but the wires don't stay in good enough.

So i'm gona pull apart the dome area and wire it in from there like you two said.

It was wired in the dome light. I had someone do it for me so I don't know what wires were used. PM chernmax he will tell you how to do it. Thanks for the idea.

Yeah so i finally got around to doing mine, i originally was going to wire it directly into the harness in the back of the mirror, but i basically just went in the overhead console and used the same wires, Yellow and Black... worked out great, looks nice and clean too.

Thanks, ill even throw up some pics tomorrow.
