I would think that a CAI is just that... a CAI. Both have tube assemblies leading down into the fender well with a highflow airfilter at the end of it. You can't go wrong one way or the other. That's just my two cents.

the reason i ask is because im leaning towards fujita but i can pick up injen locally without dealing with shipping etc. so i just wanted to know the pros and cons of both ...but the local guy told me the injen is for the altima (not knowing much about maximas) hes more into 350z's but doesnt it also fit the maxima.

OK. I can only add that if INJEN was such a superior part, FUJITA wouldn't be able to grab so much of the market. I think that in these days whether it's a NISMO, FUJITA or INJEN, it will do a job it was designed for.

Threads like this are pointless and will only net biased responses.

Agree.

Fujita is 1 piece, Injen is 2. I think the air flow would be a lot smoother in 1 solid piece.

the numbers for the fujita and injen are around the same. But in my choosing, i would go with Fujita because of the price. 189.00 shipped.... you can beat that!

ive seen a dyno with injen and the fujita, but ive never seen a dyno with a nismo.

If injen was so much better they wouldn't break LOL I have heard of numerous injen's breaking an none of the kita's breaking as of your comment of injen selling for 9yrs kita for 3 Fujita has only been around like 5 yrs. I would go with the jita hands down

nuttin will sound like the fujita. that thing sounds like a monster. even just sittin still it sounds crzy. the nismo isn't like that. sitting still it sounds a lil more louder then stock but while driving that thing roars!!!! but like i said still not as loud as a fujita.

thing nismo has over fujita is options to change from short ram to cai and also most noticeably the air bypass to help prevent water from getting sucked in.

fujita F5 definitely. My car roars at high RPMs. You should see the look on peoples' faces when I drive past them on highways

I installed a fujita CAI 2 days ago and the mounting bushing/mount broke! Has anyone ever had this problem before. Should I be concerned? I bought the cai on ebay.

lol wasup with 6th gen and intakes? I see like so many threads about/related to it. Many mods should start a sticky Great Intake Thread.

anyways... fujita seems to be more appealing to me if i were to purchase one.

same ol same ol

Hi guys. I just came over from the Subaru forums. 05 STI. Now I have an 05 Maxima. I love it. Anyway, these posts are all over the place and just like stated earlier, people are 99% of the time gonna vote for whats on their car. Do some research, check out vids on youtube, check the bank account, and place your order. Just my maxima noob .02. Good luck guys.

A few members here have had the mounting brackets on their Fujitas break.

I have a Fu as well, and IMO, the method to mount it stinks. That rubber bushing is already starting to deteriorate on mine. I actually started a thread quite awhile ago asking for alternative methods to mount the thing more solidly.

I just haven't gotten around to it. Blah.

I went stock straight to a Fujita... why? cuz that seemed like the overall consensus...i am happy with the Fujita..why? price, sound, performance, and cute lil sticker it comes with..lol plus the free NOS drink...sounds great, the CVT redlines at 6800 and just stays there when i get on it....if i didnt like i would out it.. on ebay, and get an Injen...and just try something else... in the end..regardless of what we all say you are going to have to pick one...pick the one you like....i liked em both from all the clips....

Unless you have tried every CAI made for the 6th Gen Max and have tested the results and taken videos of the sounds then most of the guys and girls on the org are going with the majority vote.

I have tried both the Fujita and Nismo and I don't see a lot of difference in performance I don't hear a lot of difference in sound (The Jita may be a little louder) but I do prefer the way the Nismo mounts to the car. The Jita's mount is to rigid and does not flex well with the engine movement and it seems to put more stress on the mounting area than the Nismo.

They both growl and they both give you great performance so if price is your thing or how it looks or if it has the Nismo name it's your choice.

Good luck!
