Thats what I kind of figure. How can you vary a tube that much. They are all 3" in diameter, they all start in the front area and snake back to the maf and then to the throttle body. I think any difference in hp would be due to built in variables from one run to another ("standard deviation" for you statistics buffs!!) I pick up the Jita tomorrow along with some other goodies.

I had a discussion with Tadashi at technosquare regarding intakes. He said that although CAIs make good numbers on the dyno, that in driving the car, they do not perform. In fact, he did tests on a track and discovered that the "long tubes" as he called them, made SLOWER lap times. He believed that stock with a K & N filter was the best way to handle intake. I trust his judgment. Im sticking with what I have.

i dont know to much about the fujita dynos and the actual performance, but I can assure you its is noticeable. besides after taking apart my stock intake and seeing the insides and how it worked...theres no way that it is better.

Im just reporting the news. By the way, he also said it is beneficial to have a heat shield, like mine, to keep hot air away from teh filter. He said my air filter and ram pipe was cooler because of the shield.

i have injen it's not bad at all love the sound , jitta sounds a little better yes , and deus i've tried dropping k&n in my stock airbox and my car was choking so bad in the midrange , it could of been slower on the track because of the low end but i'm sure it'll trap higher on the dragstrip for sure and it will shine on the highway

Finally! Someone who sees the light! AEM is the best. AEM uses a larger diameter which seem to allow better air flow over the Fujita.

Fujitas sound like they can eat babies.... i love mine. i hear injens are ok... and the Nismo CAI's are good too but the sound is a little quieter.. it all depends on what u want... all 3 are basically going to give u just around the same performance.. but im not gonna lie... if i had a choice.. i wouldnt choose anything over the jita... but thats just my biased .02.. haha.

interesting this thread is.. Dues are you on stock wit kn drop in? I have a 5.5 gen i had the injen but it was jus bad the way it was built. then i cut a hole behind the headlamp and got new tubes and extended it down into the fender well so it was jus like the injen/jita set up.. i jus noticed it lacked something from the get go with the cai setup. i dono wat it is.. so i converted it to a semi cold air/warm air, the responsiveness came back becuz of the shorter tubing and still screams on higher rpms.. trust me i was all about cai and all that but the responsiveness was gone becuz of the long tubing.. jus a thought..
