2004 Maxima Power Steering Small Boot Ripped please help

ok.. i was jacking my car up to rotate my tires when the jack tipped over and the car fell ! not anything bad tho the back wheel was still on and the jack underneath the car prevented the rotor from hitting the concrete.

when the jack tipped over a piece of it ripped the little boot on the power steering part where the power steering arm connects to the brake to make it turn...i hope you guys know what i am talking about...

ok so it was a little tear in it, some grease came out...all i did was put some silicone stuff on it and a piece of electric tape ! thats all i had...ive been driving and its fine...any advice on what i should do ? should it be fine if i put the silicone on it and sealed up the tear ?

please any help would be appreciated and i dont want to take the car in and have to pay a lot of money to get it fixed as i am trading in the maxima in about a month or so

thanks guys

this happened on the drivers side forgot to mention...
the tiny boot is about as big as 2 quaters and the tear in it was as big as a finger nail...not a lot of grease came out, about a nickel size of grease oozed out

Yeah the boots are cheap, I've replaced bot my outers and now my pass. inner needs to be done as well. You should be fine for a month, if you start to see grease all over your wheels and wheel wells then I would be concerned...

i think he is talking about an inner tire rod boot guys. he said power steering. but yah if you dont have it fixxed properly soon and the grease comes out the joint will wear out really fast and eventually pop out while your driving

Worst end result would be replacing the entire axle...
