Problem with the jita?

okay i didnt announce that i installed my jita because someone made the same thread the day i installed mine so i thought it would be dumb to make another "i installed my jita" thread..but i found a problem as i was installing. There is a crack in my plastic wheel well ...i live in NY terrible puddles / potholes.. the crack is RIGHT where the air filter sits. im going to get it replaced soon obviously but would it be a good idea to not drive AT ALL even with slightly wet roads?

Mine are cracked and have been so for some time and I've driven through puddles, heavy rain, you name it. Nothing wrong.

^i agree, the only time you ever hear of anybody with water locking problems is when they decide to go play in big puddles. Taking in a little water wont kill you but it definitely wont make you more efficient

Injen makes a filter cover to protect from water. I think its called an AquaShield.

The only problem you might encounter is the filter getting to wet in a rainstorm. You wont suck up water unless your in a deep puddle, but if you drive a long distance in decent rain, they filter CAN get soaked and cause air restriction resulting in your MAF throwing a code and running like ****. Happened to me in my Altima on the way to the Grafton meet in NY on a rainy day.

The Injen product is called Hydroshield
