2004 4 speed trans

at the top of first gear if i'm on full throttle i get this little hold in the revs (5500 - 6500 about) before it shifts but no bang or clunk like the other trans threads talk about. is it slipping or something else. i don't know anything about transmissions even though i fix cars for a living we just ship all the tranny work out when people ask for it so we dont deal with liability. Oh it has 88000 KMS on it too if that helps. i dont beat on this car but i do drive it sportingly SOMETIMES. i just did the tranny fluid swap (dropped the pan changed the filter and pan gasket) about 10.000 KMS ago and used full synthetic. the fluid level is still at the top of the hash marks on the Hot section and hasnt dropped at all since i changed it.

if the trans is done, then how much was it in parts alone to get it fixed and how much total when you had it installed before tax?

thanks for your help guys

Your fluid choice may be an issue...

These cars only take what is specified on the dipstick.
