Replacement brake pads- which????

Will be needing pads soon on the 2007 SE. Car is used for only daily highway commuting and local street driving. Any suggestions for replacement pads?

The #1 reason for warped rotors is due to crappy brake pads and the material that they are made out of. Spend the extra couple of dollars and get some quality pads such as Hawk HPS pads. Low dust, and noise, but great quality.

The street pads are quiet, maybe you someone told you about the race pads that will definitely be squeakier.

Hawk and EBC are total overkill for your needs.

Either Metal Master or Deluxe would be more than enough. I have a set of the Ultimates, and they have been great.

I believe that I am the only one running Monroe pads, and I have o say that they are amazing. I do have a different brake setup but I love the bite and low dust. Truly amazing in my opinion and I paid about $28 with a rebate for 300zx pads.

I've had Hawk HPS, Then EBC "ceramic Red Stuff", now back to Hawk HPS, so I have had them both and equally perform the same. The EBC produced less dust (a plus!), the only reason I went back to Hawk was because EBC does not make a set that fits on a Wilwood BBK. I agree with PrjctMax and spending a couple extra bucks on quality pads, don't skimp on safety...

Brake pads are brake pads...what are "brakes?" That could be described as pads, rotors, calipers, and lines...

I know everyone drives differently, but what is the normal wear of brakes in miles=months?

If you drive in a lot of stop and go traffic, your brake pads will fade faster. Also depends on your braking habbits, if I see a red light a block away, I coast to a stop where as some people wait untill they are 2 feet from the stop light and lay it on!!!

I went with EBC ceramic red stuff for my rear brakes and Monroe OEM for the front pads. The EBC has great stopping power, but LOTS of brake dust. I am not sure if it's because they were installed less than 400 miles ago or what...
