TPMS season has arrived.....again
Outside temp dropped into the 40's the other day. Upon start-up in AM TPMS light engaged. Checked cold tire pressure, 32 lbs all around. Inflated all 4 tires to 36lbs. Been driving around for 3 day now, stupid or should I say, IDIOT light is still on.
What a useless, poorly engineered system.........

Mine is on too. I checked the pressure and i have 31psi all the way around. But i have been too lazy to unroll the air hose in the garage. I usually only drive the car once a week so I'm not sweating it.
Its nice to have a company vehicle.

should i get used to this? This morning my tpms light came on (for the first time) and tires looked fine but only checked two of them and they had 31psi. Today was one of the first cold mornings for cali. So i put in about 38psi and eventually the light came off about 10mins later. So im assuming i should be seeing the light more often in cold weather?

thanks, thats good to know. I thought my tires were losing air so i thought extra air wouldnt hurt. Time to let some air out. thanks.

My system was calibrated last winter, been there done that.
Apparently, to get the TMPS light to go off, one has to over-inflate the tires.
After filling mine up to 37psi cold tire pressure, the light went out after about 10 miles.
note, that my light was still on after I inflated them from 32 to 36. So on my car atleast, the trigger is set at 37psi.
