Carbon fiber hood AND carbon fiber rear WRX spoiler!!!
I have been keeping a secret from you guys. Last week, I located a carbon fiber WRX rear spoiler made by Seibon. I loved the way carbon fiber looks with my black car. Sooooooooo, the next step was to buy one of Max2damax's carbon fiber hoods.
I love the 3D look of carbon fiber and with the rear spoiler, it ties the carbon fiber parts together. Installation of the hood is a snap, especially if you have a helper.
The only problem is that it is very hard to film carbon fiber parts on a black car. My camera's aperture was gonig haywire. Here are some pics for you.
Btw, I have plans to tastefully add more carbon fiber parts to the outside, but its in the planning stages. Ill add to this thread when I get them.

I'll give you guys some advanced notice of thought I have on this topic.
Rear CF WRX spoiler - I was thinking about painting the base and underneath part black and fade it to CF on the sides so the top would remain CF.
CF Hood - I could go many ways with this. At SEMA last year I saw a black car with a CF hood and it was painted black and faded to CF in the center. It was stunning looking. Since we have those creases near the center, our hood would be perfect for that treatment. There is also the theory of painting the hood black and leaving the vents carbon. Maybe painting starting at the creases and angling back to the outer corner.
CF Mirrors - One of my secret projects was to have the center area of the mirror where the flat is in the middle of the mirror covered in carbon fiber and leave the top and bottom black.
CF rims - Dymag rims are all carbon fiber and i was quoted $2500 PER RIM. Hellz no!!! I did find a carbon fiber-look rim made by Rota called the Rota Boost. Its $750 for all 4 rims. Here is a pic:
CF side splitter - When I was at the warehouse picking up my hood, I happen to know that they sell CF side splitters. I had them bring a set out to the car for measurement. Basically, they are long strips of CF, about as long as the side skirts and about 10 inches wide. The idea is for the side splitter to protrude about 1-2 inches form beneath the side skirt. The gu yat the warehouse suggested just using one splitter, by cutting it lengthwise since only 1-2 inches sticks out. If anyone wants to go halvsies with me on this, let me know. Here is a pic of the side splitter:
cf front splitter - Im looking for material in which to make this. I might use an overlay on my existing splitter or make one using cf,
CF lit door sills - Waiting to see if these can be made.
Rear CF WRX spoiler - I was thinking about painting the base and underneath part black and fade it to CF on the sides so the top would remain CF.
