my shift **** dilemma

so ive needed a new shift **** for my 04 SE. i found one on a classified forum, sent the money but never received the **** (seller claims to not be able to 'find' it, then was struck with a computer virus) yeah- ok. after a few days, i finally got a refund but i still needed a ****.

i posted here and someone recommended "DaveB" who i emailed with no response.

so today, i stopped by a local autozone just to see what they had that i could install in the meantime. surprisingly, i found a **** that was $16 that actually looks decent. it was the least 'ricer' i could find.

ill post a pic in a few minutes... but i still want a replacement tan leather **** damnit!

Cut around 2.75" inches off the stalk and you'll love it...

Mine broke years ago (collar) so I cut the stalk down, cut the white plastic end off the ****, wallered out the hole some and used a few small pieces of metal tape on the shaft. (Prevents spinning) You then pound the shift **** on and go. Here's a bad pic but you get the idea.
