D2 RS Series Coilovers - Groupbuy- checking for intrest

D2 Racing RS Coilovers GROUPBUY
UPDATED 11/7/08

Hello all, this is Justin from Import Car Parts Plus. We can do a groupbuy on the D2 Coilovers. The prices are listed below. We can also add another car in the mix if they make them for it. I have included a price break down below. I will be following this post and answer any questions that I can.

The RS coilover system is a 36 way damper and rebound adjustable mono-tube full coilover system. The setup has separate height and preload adjustments allowing for optimal adjustment and allowing full strut travel at all times along with pillowball upper mounts or top mounts*. Mounts are constructed of 6061 powder coated aluminum. Threads are Teflon coated to prevent rust. Rebuild-able and serviceable in the US.

I don't think it would go that long. Maybe end of this month or early next month it should be ready for payment.

How does the the rear spring design look, does it use the origional spring seat or does it put all the weight of the car on the little rear shock spindle?

This is the ideal setup? Is the D2 setup like this? Cause if thats the case then this is the deal of a life time.

Im curious how this compares to Tein coilovers. I saw Max2damax's Teins this weekend and they appear to be very well made.

Im trying to decide on a new setup, the last thing I want is something that rides harder then stock I want soft but sporty

Is this the setup Chern has on his, he always comments on how it feels like it's on rails, but how much more firmer is the ride

After Nov 7 I'll be able to see what direction I may go in

well from what i heard D2's are top of the line coilovers.. those and ksport.. ive heard its NOT all bouncy n stuff like them cars on springs and its a nice ride with a hot drop.. i think its a really good deal .. just a bit tight with $$ at the moment to go out and get these.. but im really thinking hard lol if it goes on until theres really 15 ppl then i'd probably be one of them..

That one uses a signal piece coilover and it is all one piece.

I don't see anything listed for that car. If you know of a company that makes a setup just let me know and I can check with them on pricing.

Is it true that these things don't perform well and cold climates and are easily wrecked by the snow, slush, sand and salt? I live in Montreal and I've heard stories about Coilovers.

Not that I have heard of. Salt will always damage your car / wheels / suspension.
