cattman b-pipe question
I was wondering if anybody had the b-pipe installed on their car. I have a 05 altima, and on OUR forums they are claiming around 5hp gained from the b-pipe, and I was wondering if anybody could give me any input on this...thanks

It is actually the only mod I've done to my 08 Max and I'm very happy with it. I don't know what the hp gain is but I can feel the difference from about 2K rpm up and I like the extra sound feedback when I put my foot into it. Brian Catts advised me that by keeping my stock mufflers I'd keep the noise level down and still benefit from a sportier sound and improved performance. He didn't disappoint....and I'm getting better gas mileage.

cool, thanks. I have the nismo exhaust and I am getting ready to purchase the Cattman y-pipe, and have a chance at the b-pipe too. So, you think it is worth it? And how much of a change in sound did you have?

If I had a Nismo exhaust, I wouldn't change it for a Cattman b pipe. If it were not for the hassle of having to lengthen the Nismo system by 1 to 2 inches to make it fit the Max, I would have gone with the Altima Nismo cat back system. You will find in numerous other threads in this org lots of information about the various combinations of y pipe and other exhaust components. The Cattman y pipe is very popular and highly rated. I don't think you can go wrong with it.
