What size door speakers will fit my 2007 SE?

I've already called Crutchfield and they said that I have 1.93" of mounting depth, and .83" of mounting height. I have a line on a set of Rainbow Germanium 6.5" components, and need to know if they will fit before I pick them up. The seller tells me that the woofer measures 2.6" top to bottom. Can I make them fit?

Don't believe you can "make anything fit" with a bracket. If a speaker is 3.5" tall and you only have 3" of space, a bracket isn't going to help you get your door panel back on. I know I can space the speaker "out" with a bracket. My question is will a 2.6" speaker fit between the back of the door panel and the rolled down window (inside the door)?

hey where you at in Hawaii. If you are on Oahu like myself then you can go to mobile car audio on Kam highway and have them make you a special mold to fit them if you want. I think it might be a bit pricey. They will just make a ring to the diameter of your speakers and the depth of your inside with the window rolled all the way down. then cut into your interior panels and fiberglass to the ring and paint to match interior then install speakers. lots of work and lots of cash to make it happen. Do what I did and take the inside door panel off which is easy as can be then unscrew the speaker, pull it out. Roll the window down all the way. measure the depth from the window or outside frame to the screw holes. go to bestbuy or online and find the right size that will fit. I have pioneer interior speakers 150watt rms each all 4 doors and 6x9 Alpine type R rear deck. and two amps running all 6 speakers. I can't turn my stereo up all the way because I will lose my hearing. It's way too much for anyone's ears.

just saw that you are from ohio. Find the local car stereo shop they will tell you your options. it cost nothing for them to take a look and make recommendations.

Can you find a set of good speakers that will fit without all these hassles?

see the problem with replacing the speakers in your car is that if you have bose you have to replace the head unit and all the speakers at the same time. all of the bose speakers are 1/2 ohm and all headunits are 4 ohm. they don't work with aftermarket headunits. and the same with the speakers working with the bose headunit. it puts out 1/2 ohm to the speakers not 4 ohm which allmost all speakers are either 2ohm or 4ohm. but if you don't have bose you should be fine to replace just the speakers or just the head unit.

my suggestions rear doors: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...108627I&tp=105 front doors: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...86022SI&tp=105 rear deck: these speakers are base only speakers so they only put out base. If you want 6x9 speakers to put both musical notes and base you need an amp which If I was going to change speakers out I would get a 4 channel or 6 channel amp. with a 4 channel you will have to crossover the front and rear door speakers and let the rear deck have it's own input. doing that takes away from the quality of output from the speakers. a six channel is the way to go. cost alot more though. you can even do a 4 channel for the door speakers and a 2 channel amp for the rear deck. costs less but involves using more space for mounting. here is my recommendation for 6x9 speakers: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...086929I&tp=105 or for half the price are these: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...086927I&tp=105 as far as an amp for the 6x9 check this one out: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_489AP60...00.html?tp=115 and for all 4 door speakers something like this one is more than enough. you need a 4 channel 2 ohm x 4 x 75rms

po8pimp,

Thanks for the info...The speakers that I'm looking at for the front doors right now are these:
CDT Audio ES-62iS-SQL

I found them after a bit of searching, they are meant for a shallow depth install, and from everything that I've found, they sound like a nice set of components. I'm going to go with a front soundstage only, pull the rear 6x9's and add a 10" sub in the trunk. I just purchased a Rockford Fosgate "25 to life" Power 1000 amp to run everything. I know I have to replace the head unit also, and I'm currently trying to decide between the Pioneer DEH-P880PRS, Kenwood Excelon X991, and the Eclipse CD7200MkII. I'm going to skip on replacing the rear door speakers for now, and spend a little money to soundproof the front doors instead. If I decide to add the speakers later, it should be a simple swap. Anybody know anything about those CDT components?
