Uprev and Vista problems
Anyone here have Uprev Cipher using Vista? I am having problems connecting to teh car using Vista on my new laptop. I re set compatibility to Windows XP and it still doesnt work
so a little off subject but what does Cipher do for you? I mean I read the uprev website but besides it being a obd2 reader and a data log what can you do with it. I was thinking about investing in that HPX MAF Sensor and Osiris Tuner. reading about the HPX Sensor it doesn't sound like it comes with any equipment for loading or adjustment of A/F ratio.
Dues ,alot of guys that are using piggyback standalones arent havent any luck with Vista, gotta downgrade, my buddy using a Kpro and a few others I know arent having any luck with it. I myself , also can tune my UTEC on Vista, I end up reformatting the laptop and downgrading

The Cipher just plugs in to the ECU port below the steering wheel and monitors sensors and also allows for ajustment of idle and timing (+ or - 2 degrees), so its limited in what it can d. Its not like UTEC or Osiris, or any of the full functioning piggybacks. I use it to pull codes and to adjust timing and idle.
