On my 5th gen I bought the Brembo slotted rotors on the group buy. I tried both PBR and Hawk pads. The set up was ok, didn't impress me too much.
So....two questions.
1) What is the good brand of rotors/pads these days?
2) Slotted, x drillled, or dimpled?
I drive the car a ton for work - I've had it six months and have already put on over 20K. I do enjoy driving it though...would like to improve braking if possible.
Sorry in advance to bring up something that I'm sure has been discussed a jillion times.

1) it really doesn't matter. 90% of them online are just $10 OEM blanks drilled/slotted for you and then zinc coated or painted depending on who you buy from.
2) it really doesn't matter. the more holes/slots the less area the PAD has to bite on, also imo they wear out the pads faster and are likely to be more prone to warping as there is less material to disasapate the heat. think about it. Nascar uses blanks for a reason. Personally i have drilled and slotted ONLY for looks.
3) if i were you i'd goto pepboys etc. and pay $15 bucks for oem blanks and get some ceramic pads for $40 bucks and call it a day. $100 and you probably the most reliable and cheapest solution out there. but thats me. also i'd bleed your brakes(you should do this every 2-3 years)
