Iron Man?

On my trip to BJ'S today, I ran into something very interesting. Personally I like angel eyes but I also think that they belong on BMW's so if your driving around with them it seems kind of poserish but everyone is entitled to their own opinions, which is fine. Anyways continuing the story I drove past two guys in g37's standing outside and there was something different about there headlights (Link provided) So, I drive back around and ask the guy, and they are called "Iron Man". That is the name of this mod.

Anyways Link provided.

http://www.6mt.net/forum/g37-coupe/2...ight-work.html

And the guy with the red car is whose car I saw....

http://myg37.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185001

Anyways I was thinking it would be nice to get together something like this for the 6th gen headlight areas... What do you guys think?

Your right, Thats what I am a bit confused about, maybe we need someone to photoshop these. and then we might be able to get a better idea.

Actually, this has already been done on a 6thgen by a member on 6thgenmaxima.org. Its a pretty cool mod. These are for the 07-08 but he also did them on the 04-06 headlights as well. But as someone mentioned X-Vert(from g35.com) was the original inventor of this.

I'm game. I am feeling these, especially if they can be done with 2 different colors so you have the option of say white & blue, or white & yellow, similiar to the LED strip someone is offering on here. Utilized these as additional turn signals or stand alone LED's. I am feeling them.

I think those led's looks hawt in there and would also look good on our 6th gen's especially for those that already blacked out their headlamps. I really like they way they hook the white and blue G35's up with those kit. They're sick! Love those HD pics man...

I made these on a broken 07 parts light I had. There is enough room on the 07-08, but not enough room on the 04-06's.

First time ive seen it, I dont think many people have seen it here judging by the comments but if by the other org you are refering to NYCmaximas then I posted there and here right after each other becuase some of those people arent on this site and vice versa.

Guess it's time for the full 07 front clip upgrade , not just the bumper.

Iron man headlights, hood, bumper, grill. (fenders?)

aren't the 04-06 headlights bigger than the 07-08 lights? I don't understand the logic behind Maxxx's statement.

The "trim" that surrounds the headlights lens has comes to what I would call a Lip. The lip on a 07-08 is approximately 1/2" wide, but the one on a 04-06 is about 1/8" wide.
You could drill out the holes and find some 3mm leds, but they wouldn't put out enough light to be seen during the day. At night, your headlight would drown out the leds.
In a few weeks, I'm gonna try to fabricate something that will have them "recessed" back closer to the lens.

Yea, I was thinking some type of device that basically clips on or is glued onto the 1/8" and increases the space to 1/2 INCH. therfore we can put bigger led's on.

couldn't you just take some black tape and put it over the angel eye ring with leaving a little space every have inch or so? ghetto iron man ftw haha. If you did it right it wouldn't look bad on black headlight housings

Yeah not sure how the light would spread out in between the "tape" but if you do go there at least mask it off and paint, no tape. But if you do use tape go all out cheese and use duct tape!
