Hawk vs Axxis brake pads

Anybody tried both? I need to replace my brakes and am wondering if the Hawks are worth the extra money.

In all reality, brake pads are just breaK pads. I used hawk before and I didnt feel anything different or stop any faster. Everybody is going to tell you something different about performance test and such blah blah blah. unless your going from 100mph to 0 then your breaks dont really matter who you get them from. (for all you critics out there im not saying go and buy the $10 break pads). Break pads are just like oil everyone one like a certain brand for one reason or another but in the end it still lubricates your engine and keeps it from seizing. Brake pads do the same thing, they help you to stop.

Thanks man!

After much reading......it appears that PBR Ultimate is the best value....great improvement over stock....almost as good as Hawk...but not quite as much money.

Is that an accurate assessment?

Also looks like Hawk is comparable to EBC.

Is that an accurate assessment?

It all depends, some have had several different brake pad brands most have only tried 1, compared to OEM, quality rotors and pads will make you feel like your driving a different car

ok,
Having tried:

Wilwood, pbr, axxis, Monroe, oem, Wagner and hawk. I can tell u hawk are most pleasurable pads go put on ur car. But a touch noisy on generic rotors. I only use hawk since last year when I almost repainted the pit lane k11 fla our at mosport DDT because the wilwood bp-10 decided it was too hot for them.

I use my brakes in exteme situations but one thing u can tAke away from this is that when u really need your brakes you better hope u cjose wiseley.
