living in Tampa I really didn't know if I'd ever use them when I bought the car.

But it was 36 out this morning... and they made my drive to work much more enjoyable!

I just have the seats, still nice though.

 

Steering wheel is awesome, seats are not as good as in a lot of other cars I've had them in. They take too long to heat up and don't seem to provide as much heat. But the steering wheel is the best!

 

I use both all the time. Nice addition to a great ride.

on the steering wheels. I use them all the time since it got cold here in NY. when it snows it's a freakn life saver. cause after cleaning off all that snow on your car you hands are almost numb, luckily i got that heated steering!!!

 

i love mine too.... i love how quick the steering wheel heats up.

 

i'm surprised how hot the steering wheel will get too. least in the 5th gen it gets pretty toasty!

i love the wheel too! the seats do suck heating up. ive been toying with the idea to replace the seat heater with an aftermarket element.

 

Yeah, I thought it was something I wouldn't need much, but that heated wheel is now one of my favorite features. Seats are nothing like my avalanche - maybe its the thicker leather that makes them so slow to heat...

 

I enjoyed my steering wheel heater and seat heater. But when i replaced my seats and steering wheel I thought Id miss it, but I love the MOMO wheel and Recaro seats better than the heat.

out of curiosity what happens when you airbag doens't go off and you get injured? will your insurance company cover you if you removed the stock airbags? i'v always wondered about this...

 

Ur right about adding heat to the seats. There are aftermarket flat panel heaters that are available that slide under the leather.

The insurance company would have to prove that the lack of air bags caused injuries that would otherwise have not been caused had the airbags been removed. By the way, the steering wheel HAS an airbag, a Nissan airbag in fact, because the wheel is from a JDM 350Z made for Nissan by MOMO.

the flat panel heaters are exactly what i was talking about. it's what i was planning to do to add rear heated seats...i don' know why i'm adding rear heated sits as none is ever back there and it never gets driven in the winter but...you know how it is

 

im in virginia beach and the seats are good but my fav is the steering wheel. its a blessing in the morning.

 

The seats hold me in WAAAAAYY better than stock and they weigh 20 lbs less EACH. They are great for long trips too!!!

I love that steering wheel. It actually looks a lot like the one in the new 370Z. I'd like to grab one of those for my ride....

And back to the heated wheel...I love how it nearly burns your freaking hands when it warms up. That coupled with the cougar warmer seats make for the single best feature ever to justify dropping the cash on a car like this...

 

Lucky you Max guys get steering wheel heaters, was just wishing I had some on the Altima the other day. I've been driving around with my butt warm but pulling my sleeves down to cover my hands on the frozen wheel. It's been snowing and single digits for the past few days in Colorado, be glad you're in the 30s haha.

 

Now they just have to work on a heated shift **** for us with the 6speeds.

 

Especially those of us with aluminum shift ***** . . . .

i know its been raining in SF lately and having the heating steering wheel is nice and the seats are two but take a while to heat up but nice add on and have been definitely be using it more does it affect your gas though sorry noob question

I bought some gray leather seats with heating for like 190 at the junk yard from a Max with Rear Body damage.. I got all the seats and the armrests. Would I be able to replace my cloth seats with those and get the heating to work???

you lucky s.o.b's with your heated steering wheels and seats!! i wish i have the heated wheel bcus thats like the only reason i turn he heat on in my car. i just turn the vents towards my wheel so my hands stay warm.

 

I love both the heated seat and wheel. its used every cold day. some days i use the heat on the seats and no heat from the vents. Never new how good the heated steering wheel was till i had the option. next car i buy will definitely have heated seats and maybe ac seats too. drove a ES 350 the other day and A/C seats are bad ***.

 

i just bought a steering wheel cover... and the heat from my hands/or wearing those little cotton gloves, transfers into the cover, and i'm good to go. though a heated steering wheel would be very very nice =)

 

I love the heated steering wheel and front seats. Last year my wife made me something for the shifter ****, I can't find it. Its 18 degrees with a wind chill factor of 7 here in Brooklyn, NY. I am glad that I am retired, I don't have to climb telephone poles any more.

 

I just bought my max this week and temperatures dropped below 50 degrees Celsius. I love my heated steering wheels and seats... within 5 minutes my hands and seat is nice and toasty. My passengers love the rear heated seats too.

 

Wouldn't 50 degrees Celsius be 106 degrees Fahrenheit? You need a heated steering wheel and seats for that?

I just traded in my '05 Element for an '06 Maxima SE. I knew it had heated seats, but while waiting at a drive-through the morning after I bought the car I was checking out the different buttons, etc on the dachboard. I noticed what appeared to be a steering wheel with the little radiant-like arrows pointing up and puched the button. DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heated steering wheel!
My Element had remote starting which was damn nice in the winter, but with the heated wheel in the Maxima I won't miss it that much.

I live i NW In. and I love heated seats. I thought heated steering was stupid but have changed my mind!!!

 

I actually had done a shoddy swap into my 98 alti from a unit i pulled from a junker...it worked about 75% of the time.

Now i got the real deal in my '03-meridian pkg and i love it. esp. with these single digit mornings here in the burg....brrrrrrrrrr.
