Need Help Pronto!!!!!

I have a 2005 Maxima....
I'm having problems with my ABS......I will do my best to describe the problem.
When I'm between 5mph - 30mph it sounds like my ABS is struggling. It sounds like it is studdering. Also, between 1mph - 50 mph it sounds like my ABS motor is always on. When I'm at higher speeds, especially highway driving, it's completely fine. When I brake the ABS doesnt struggle either...until i get to 30mph that is. I thought maybe it could be a sensor???
When I am in Reverse everything is normal...
I went to my friends shop and pulled off the front two tires and the brakes, rotors, and calipers were just fine.
Should I take out my Fuse???? I dont want anything else messing up on the car, so I havent taken the fuse out.
And my ABS light is NOT on.
Any feed back would be great.....
thanks!

- Liz

Sounds like a wheel sensor gone bad? I had some of the same issues with mine and I thought it was a wheel sensor but it was actually the sensor cable that had a peice of the coating missing from rubbing against my strut that was causing the problem.

Hmmmm, I didnt think about that one. Thanks for the feedback!!!
Do you know how much that would cost at the dealership to get fixed?
I'm not very familiar with Nissan's. I've had my car since 06, so i definitely should be, but I've always been into DSM's.

No problem. I have no idea how much it would cost, I didnt even let the stealership get a chance to look at it. I took it to the shop where I get my car tuned and they took it apart and heated up some shrink sleeve and when it cooled off it sealed to the old wire just like a new coating. I havent had any problems since, this was about 6 months ago so its still holding up well. I'm not 100% sure if thats what your problem is but thats what my issue was.

so i take it, you have no warranty?

if yes, you might have a hard time getting the dealer to cover it.

This is the only one TSB about ABS system. Maybe you should check it out. Good luck.

sometimes the sensors get covered in brake dust and throw out the magnetic signal generated by the notched ring on your CV shaft
