First time at the track for her. Pure stock. 1/2 tank of gas.

Wish they made drag radials that fit, traction is the killer. If I could launch harder and cut a 1.6 like the Buick it might be in the 13s.

Not too bad, mid 14s are possible with a lil better launch and some good weather.

A C6 Corvette, non Z06. He had a lot of spin but at about 1000' all I heard was a whoosh and he passed me like I was standing still. If he could hook that's good for 12.teens.

Ha that was my question too as soon as soon as I saw the crappy 60' time, and then the MPH? DAMN

Great stock numbers, compared to the 4AT!

It wasn't fun lining up against cars that I knew would blow me off the track. There were plenty of other cars that would have made an interesting match up but they didn't work out in the staging lanes. I was very surprised I got the Vette out of the hole. I kept waiting for it to catch me which of course it did.

Been there for sure. Not as much these days, although it still happens, but especially when I was stock. I've raced a lot of 10 sec cars, even an 8 second dragster. lol.

Thanks for the vid. 2.7 sixty foot for the corvette though.. oi

Hey man I saw you there. Nice runs. Have you ever raced at that track before? if so, do you usually get better traction when they prep it?

The first time I was at that track was 1970! The first time I raced was 1976. Check my sig!
The best traction is on Sat/Sun. They prep good then. If you go on Wednesday they have track rental but race on the tower lane only. They prep it so that's the lane you want. Fridays the don't do much for prep. I like tower lane usually but I have had good luck on the other with the Buick.
