My Max is Gone!!! R.I.P
Here's what happened. I was heading home from Midtown and got on West Peachtree so that I could get onto the Buford Highway ramp to go North. As I was rounding the first sharp curve, I noticed 2 a white BMW 3-series and a Red Audi A4 racing up behind me. I decreased my speed as a precaution, but when the first car went past me, he cut right in front of me and damn near hit my car. My first instinct was to hit the brakes, which my mind knew was not the right thing to do on a curve, but my foot had a mind of its own. The next thing I know, I had hit the guardrail, spun around and hit it 2 more times before coming to a complete stop. We immediately jumped out of the car and checked to see the 3 of us were ok. No one was injured. Someone called the police, who was there immediately. Luckily, there was a guy who saw what happened who stopped also and gave his account of the incident to the police.
But I did get another car. And after 10 years and 5 Maximas I didn't get another one. Let's just say that I got an "upgrade".

I deserve that!!!! I was about to take a test drive of the XC90 when I realized that I have no kids, no dogs, and no spouse. And how could I ever abandon the Nissan family.
And even though I have an Infiniti, i'm not leaving this site.

For some reason, I just don't like coupes. And I didn't get a new G37 because of the price. I got this car with 33,000 mile on it for $13,900. I pay less per month for the G than I did for my Max.
I also had it inspected at an Infiniti dealership and they found no issues with it. It was a great deal and I had to jump on it.

Well unlike most members of this forum I don't mod my cars. The only mod I ever did was adding a sunroof to my 97 Maxima. But then again since my new G35 doesn't have a sunroof...

Hey the max did it's job kept everyone safe that's the important thing. Now the fact that you picked up an awd g for 14k? Makes me wanna get one! LOL how do you like it so far? How is it going to a rwd biased car?

But to be honest, the Maxima seemed to be faster during acceleration. I notice that when I mash the gas, the G takes longer to take off whereas the Maxima seemed to respond immediately.

By my calculations we should all wreck and upgrade like that. 14 G's for a G35 with only 33K??? You are still under factory warranty. That is a fantastic deal man. Good job (oh yeah, glad you & your passengers are fine)!

it was a great deal but thats gotta b at least a basic g35x with nuthing luxurious on it.. but after all at least nuthing bad happen to non of the driver and passangers..

While trying to park at the mall (during black Friday), because I had to back up one more time, two freakin Mini Coopers took both parking spots I had planned to bogart. To add insult to injury, I quickly had to back up again two more times to get out of there (bad turning radius) before I killed someone. I'm telling you, eighty year old ladies with poor eyesight, shot knees, and really bad autheritus are stealing parking spots from me due to my lack of turning radius.

But what I got in addition was a car with great driving dynamics, tight turning radius, reduced NVH, smaller footprint, and a quieter ride.
And the dealership where I got my car sells most of their cars for below KBB. According to KBB, the retail on this car is $17910.
Check out the dealership yourself at www.atlantauc.com. And if you're in Atlanta and decide to stop by, tell them Norris sent you!!!
