Engine Compartment Strut Bar

Folks!

Another question - checked the sticky's - no dice. I was trying to find out about a step by step strut bar install in the engine compartment. I found the sticky, but it gave me an error - bad address - see the pic, but bad address (i.e. - http://forums.maxima.org/6th-generat...formation.html). Again, I know they have been updating the site, but can't find it. Looking to put a front strut tower brace (FSTB) and looking for a good recommendation. Anyone, please advice as well as install.

Thanks ahead of time!

Jimbo

about as basic of an install as there is.

1) park your car on level ground with the wheels straight
2) take off the 3 bolts on the strut towers.
3) line up the strut tower brackets and bolt them down

You wont really gain much in the handling but you can pick up a front strut tower bar for cheep so why not but if you want a noticeable gain in handling find yourself a rear sway bar. the one from progress is less than $200 and is pretty easy to install as well

Thanks Feldman - do you have a link to the site for the rear and a link to a front strut? Went to Progress...couldn't really find where they sell a rear or front (if they do) for the 2005 Nissan Maxima SE...Thanks!

bought mine on ebay to be honest and it has been there with no change for 4 years now. works great and is probably the most effective mod I purchased. Installation comes with the product. Piece of cake can be done in 10 minutes. I looked at my ebay account and found out the person I bought the FSTB from doesn't sell anything on ebay anymore.
