Who has a Winter Setup: Pics Wanted

I've seen a couple threads out there for winter setups.

I know everyone doesn't need a winter setup but here in Denver Colorado I like to have one. It's saves my chrome rims and makes the car easier to clean. I almost went back to stock springs to get a little extra clearance but didn't want to spent the $$.

I thought it might nice to have a bunch of winter pics/setups in one thread.

Post up some pics and a quick explaination of your set up and why it works/doesn't work for you.

Here is my pic: I drop to 17in SSR Painted wheels with Big O all season Euro Tour tires. The rims are super easy to clean since they are painted , I just hit them with the wand, I don't even have to take the brush to em.

The tires are great in rain and slush, not so hot in the snow. I'll get something more agressive next time. (Drilled and slotted rotors sitting in the garage waiting for spring)

SORRY FOR THE BLURRY PIC (new pic coming)

PIC OF THE TREAD ON MY PREVIOUS WINTER WHEELS (I highly recommend against a rim like this, I could NOT keep the polished lip clean in the winter. The lip stained quickly and only Mothers would get the remotely clean after much scrubbing)

I am running steel rims with Dunlop Graspic tires-225/55/17. I am pretty happy with the set up. Saves the summer rims, as you have already mentioned, from the salt and sand. It also saves the suspension...low profiles are no good when the temperature drops.

50degrees Fast is was -10degrees when I took these pics. I was totally freezing. It got down to -19 later that night. But it's all relative, I feel you. The nice thing about this was I had washed the car the night before when it was warmer, and then later it got so cold that when it snowed, nothing melted so there was a bunch of nasty splash back. Nothing like a clean ride in the snow

Dang Terrentius.......you have some serious snow there, but I gotta tell you, you might want to at least put some hub caps on. The steels are a little tough on the eyes

I don't have any cool looking rims for my winter setup, ain't ballin yet . So i went back to stock rims/tires for the winter. I forgot how small my 17 inches are when compared to my 20"s. And i have stock 55 profile tires, damn they looks big and ugly....

You can just go to any AutoZone and "buy" a spring compressor and then return it for a full refund. That is how they do their rentals.

Here's mine...

Powder coated 350Z Enthusiasts.

17x7.5 on all four with 225/55 Bridgestone Blizzak WS50's.

This car won't see any real weather. It's just nice to be prepared.

Factory grille filled and painted to match.

OT: Apollo, hopefully those weren't sold to you as SSR's...

WHEEL LINK

Lookin good though.

You know back when I first got my car I was looking for stock SL wheels to use and just coulnd't find any. I actually like the SL 17's for the 04-08s. What tires do you have on there?

this is my winter setup:

03 stays in the garage for the winter...no reason to snow ploe for free...

the 92 4DSC for the winter months and crappy days:

having a DD/winter beater is the bomb, and 190hp with an lsd w/ a system makes it not so boring to drive...

About 15 inches with drifting....sucks. The snow has stopped now so the street should be ready in about 1.5 hours.
