Good Price for a 2007 Max SE
Good Price for a 2007 Max SE
So anyway im in the market for my second maxima. My first was a 2002 white Max SE, I love it. So Im looking at this 2007 Maxima SE Fully loaded minus navigation. Thing is mint condtion at a dealership with 25k miles on it. There asking $20gs. Im hoping I can talk them down to like $18 but they say that 20 is there lowest price. So I was just wondering is it worth 20? Let me know. Thanks guys.
where do you live? Cars tend to cost more in CA. Maxima's will be cheaper in Detroit. Do a search on craigslist, autotrader, and vehix in your area and see what similar cars are selling for. Get True Market Value from edmunds.com and retail/trade-in value on KBB and NADA. All these factors will give you a ballpark of the value of the car.
Are you financing? Are you buying from a dealer? Price of the car can be $18K but what if they hit you with a 60 month loan at 6-7%. There goes your savings out the window.

I don't think you'll be able to talk them down to 18K. 20K for a fully loaded 2007 max with only 25k miles seems like a pretty good deal. Do you know if these are highway miles or local miles? Definitely get a carfax report on the car. Most dealership usually provide you it for free... Even though some slick people don't always register work being done on their cars (body work mainly) so their resale value remain high. But at least it will give you some kind of guide line.
Yeah it has a clean car fax ive already taken a look at it. Car is in South Florida. I mean it sounds like a fair price to me ive done the research any comparable car there asking around 22 23k. Hopefully I can still talk them down a bit. Any additional opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

Florida and Texas are the two states that are easy to "wash" titles. Which means that you can take a salvage title from another state, and through some loophole in the system, get clean titles issued from Florida or Texas. If you look on Ebay, all the great deals are usually from dealerships in Florida and Texas.
Make sure that the car is still under factory warranty. Get the VIN and take it to a Nissan dealer to make sure the car is still covered under factory warranty.

I hope so. I'm not sure where carfax gets their information from. I also am not positive on how the whole title washing thing takes place, I just remember reading it in an article in Car and Driver or one of those magazines. (This was a huge topic right after Hurricane Katrina)

I just lucked into an awesome deal, one owner 2005 3.5 SE 45k miles, all heated leather, heated steering wheel, sunroof, power side mirrors, bose system, 6 disc changer, ect, it stickered (sp?) $33,000 new (it came with orginal sticker), clean car fax. $14,500!!! They said they hadn't sold a car in 2 weeks so I came right in time. Thank God for the automaker slump

That's not a bad price for the car. It may be an old rental though, the miles and year is kind of an indicator. A carfax report will tell that though. i just bought my Max about 2 months ago. Obviously an 04 SL, loaded. Heated seats and steering wheel, nav, Bose 6 disc with 70K miles for $13900.

I was fairly lucky and got an 07 SE w/ 13k miles on it.. not the premium package, but enough bells and whistles to make me happy considering I use the AUX jack for my mp3 player all the time and an buy a functional GPS Nav if I wanted to for less than I could if I got it as part of the car... for $15995 + DMV/Tax
Hey man you'll just have to shop around, I just bought an '07 SL with 20,447 miles for 18.5K. It has everything except xm/sirius radio and gps, very clean car. Deals are out there but you'll have to look for them, good hunting!!
Thanks for the input guys unfortunetly they sold the car. Im kinda dissapointed because this thing was mint. If anyone comes across any good deals on fully loaded SE's (under 20gs with low miles) 07 and up let me know. Thanks
