Best Code Reader

Not sure where I should post this so moderators please move if there is a more appropriate place.

Can anyone suggest a good code reader and why? Looking to buy one for some peace of mind.

I was looking to spend between 150-200. Looking at Auto X-Ray and Equus Innova.

Any opinions or suggestions?

I want to be able to read codes from the engine, auto tranny, CAN System etc. Not sure if any can program or do tests... I've never had one before so not sure what they are capable of at least in this price range.

After more research on the forum (used the wrong search term), I am now leaning toward AutoEnginuity with the Nissan enhancement. It's a little more, but seems like it's worth the price.

I would love to have one of these code scanners. It would have came in handy many times!
