A rumble noise from the front

My wife says her 2004 Max just start making a rumble noise from the front. Not a thumping noise, but she says it almost sounds like something is loose. She said it happens driving straight or making turns. I plan to look at it this weekend, but wanted to know if any of you have experienced a noise like this. Initial thoughts were strut mounts or sway bar.

I also been having that problem with my 06. It happens some times. Then it just goes a way. I open my hood just to check if any thing was in there and nothing.

How much would that repair cost???? Yesterday my car felt like it was uneven and the ride didn't feel smooth at all. I was at a farmers boys in Cali and I was behind a cop and I got nervous and I went over the curb and I know he hear that loud noise. I was thinking it was maybe a bent rim or something. Check tire pressure and it was at 48 psi, normally I set it at 45 so I think it might be that.

Could be the ABS module. I had a light rumble or humming coming front the engine compartment. Ended up doing the ABS Sensor TSB on BOTH sides and it fixed it right up.

well I just had something like this happen, its like a hitting noise coming from the right wheel and it was the front engine mount. This could be a possibility. I hope its not the case because its expensive!

After driving it and looking around, I'm going to start by replacing the strut mounts and the end links. The car is fine on smooth roads and makes no noise so I dont think it is the wheel bearing. Bumpy roads cause the rumbling.

Did you ever figure out what it was? was it the mounts or the Sway Bars?

I got 4 new tires and a alignment in April (5 months ago) at first everything was great the guy that did my alignment said i needed a new tie rod soon since then the noise has gotten louder and LOUDER. And my alignment is gone. Does anyone know if the tie rod can be the reason for the noise?

I had a rumbling sort of noise when cornering and had struts, wheel bearings, rotors and pads changed all at once. Drives like new now but I wouldn't know which repair fixed the noise. FYI my ABS light went on for a few days but went off after driving about 150 miles. I imagine the computer had to read the new parts?
