Ok so I looked up the code and it is O2 sensor for bank 1. Bank one is the side towards the rear of the car. Here is a link to NissanHelp: http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/Knowledgebase/links/16 You need to register for free of course before you can download the PDF file named "EC" or Engine Control. At the top under search type your code in P1273 click enter and follow the Diagnostic to the best you can. You are more than likely going to have to replace that sensor. Good luck and if you run into a snag let us know.

wow, that is alot of stuff.

to me it looks like it is the front top o2 sensor, the one before the cats.

could this be the cause of a bad exhaust leak for the past couple of weeks? the leak is fixed now, but i am thinkng maybe i damaged it.

a bad exhaust leak before the O2 sensor will cause a bad reading. A bad leak after will do nothing to the sensor. I recommend you clear the code and wait to see if it comes back. If it comes back then replace the sensor. To clear the code disconnect the neg battery terminal for at least 1 min then hook it back up. If it clears your good if not try again with it disconnected for 10 min. If it doesn't clear after that then get a new sensor and install it. The sensor should be the back top O2 sensor before the cat. The front sensor would be on Bank 2 not 1. You want Bank 1.

k, thanks man.

i had auto zone clear it and it came back after a while.

q: since the SER uses wideband o2 sensors, would that mean all of them are wideband? and where can i get these sensors?

i tried a part search, but no success yet. i will keep looking

http://shop.oreillyauto.com/ProductL...=Oxygen+Sensor Sorry I honestly didn't know you had an Altima SER. I assumed it was an 05 Maxima. I seriously just glanced at that part. Here is what you want. Shucks/Checkers autoparts store.
