Body Kits???

O.k, I'm sitting at work and dreaming about installing a body kit on my car. For some reason, my search funcition isn't working so I decided to start a thread. I have several questions and would like if anyone with questions would post theirs here as well. I am also looking for any input/opinions on where to find a variety of kits and what looks the best.

1) I've only found two styles for the 6th gens. Are there more and where do I find them?

2) I have a black 05, is it necessary to paint the body kit or can I just order a black one from somewhere that will match?

3) Is a complete body kit necessary all at once or do cars look o.k. with just a front or rear?

4) Is it tacky to have factory wheels with a body kit? Has anyone done it?

5) Should a body kit be your first mod or should the first mod be performance based?

I know these questions are subjective and the answers will depend on the individual's taste, but I want to know your opinions.

Shoot away!! I'm here for 7 more hours!!

1. There's not really much out there, the ZK GTR kit (best bet), RLM front, Stillin lips, and one other ugly one (try to forget about it all the time)
2. You will need paint, most kits will actually need some prep time prior to paint.
3. I have been running only a front bumper for a few years now, I feel it's fine. But don't just do a back bumper alone, that would be weird.
4. No, and yes
5. All up to to you and what you are looking for.

As for your "search" function not working what is the problem with it, all this stuff is in here somewhere!

Thanks for the feedback. I havn't seen any Maximas around with body kits where I live so a lot of this is new to me.

As for the search function. When I try to search for "body kit" it never finds anything. By anything, I don't mean useless threads, I mean it doesn't list any threads.

if you still have the stock suspension, boy do I have a deal for you for a full gtr kit, pm for more info.

here is the kit, I can do a bundle that includes the hood and you will save tons on shipping charges if you get everything in one shot.

If you do decide to get a body kit, the only way to go would be the GTR from max2damax above. He's giving good deals on the first version of the body kit.

Thats a real sexy bodykit but if ur car is all stock w/ stock wheels it wud look weird. I would do CAI and exhaust first, then wheels and if u dont wanna attract TOO much attention to urself then go with the stillen stuff it looks discreet but very stylish, but in the end its up to u...i pretty much jus said what im gonna do with mine lol

You are saying do the cai, wheels, and exhaust before body kit?

Do the mods in any order you want, you dont have to do performance ever... if you dont want. Its your car, do as you please.

Thats just my opinion, the CAI is a very minor mod and most ppl on here have it done. I said wheels and exhaust first because they would enhance the look of the body kit...but in the end it all comes down to what YOU want!

Send him a pm or email. You don't want to discuss your own deal in front of all of us right?
