Memory seat doesn't always work

Sorry if this has been covered, I did look and didn't find an answer. My drivers seat doesn't always want to return to the driving position I can hear the motors humming but nothing is moving. Usually it will return if I push the memory button, not always though when that happens the XM is reset back to channel 1 as well. Of course it always works at the service dept. Seems to be worse when it's colder but it also was happening last summer. Anyone else have this issue? I'll take it back to the service dept but I'd like to have a solution/clues to give them. Thanks all. Frank

I set mine to where only the steering wheel moves up when I get out. I was afraid all of that moving would make the motor burn out on the seat.

my memory setting #1 works fine but for some reason memory #2 never goes back to the way i set it and when it trys to move the passenger side mirrors it automatic makes this noise like its going down to the max forcing the mirrors to struggle to stay in 1 position.

did u check the track for obstrutions? the motors work cuz u hear the humming but maybe they're not getting full voltage, maybe it's jus wear n tear n its time for new motors.(unlikely on an 08) i mean i'm not exactly skinny n if i was a motor after pushin my fatass back n forth everyday, i'd quit too. Lol. Its hard to call n i'm jus guessing. you would have to get the diagram of that system n check every component. blah blah blah. G L.
