Rim fitment Questions

Hey guys, I purchase some rims from the web... I'm going for the staggered look, 20x8.5+35 in front and 20x9.5+35 in the back.. I know the front is good but I have been getting mixed answers on the back.. Can anyone tell me a for sure answer on if this will work, without rubbing or sticking out????
PS.. I've searched threads and I've only found fitment answers on 20x10 ..

You will purchase or you've already purchased the wheel? Because if you've already paid for them, you should just wait till they come in and try them on. I'm pretty sure they will be fine and will not poke out. As far as the rubbing, it depends on the tire size.

Thanks for the response.. I purchased them already.. Do you think I can fit 255/35 in front and 265/35 rear??? Or should I just go with the standard 245/35 front and 255/35 rear???

I haven't heard of anyone doing this. I was thinking about doing the but with a 22" rim. When are you supposed to receive them?? Please post pix so we can see how it comes out.

I just put the same one my car. 20x9.5 in the rear with 255/35/20. It wont stick out much only a few cm towards the bottom of the car which you cant really notice unless you look close. As far as rubbing.. For me when I first got them on it only rubbed when I hit dips and the car bounced, so I modified the fender lip and now it's fine so far. No rubbing during driving at all tho. Goodluck.

heres a pic of my rear wheels

I think the most important thing to find out that will help answer your question...

What is the offset of the wheels?

you can get up to a 275/30/20 in the rear as long as the off set is right.. a 255 will fit up to a 10 inch wheel... i am am about to run 245/35/in the front..dropped 2 " and 275/30/20 in the rear dropped .8" (Eibach) my rears will have a 40 mm offset... front 35mm Kenji..has the same wheels and he runs a 255 on the 10 inch wheel..

Random question and I wasnt sure where to post: Just installed 18x8 rims with 245 45 18" from a 350Z.

The rears are really tight in the wheel well and when i have rear passengers they rub when going over bumbs.

Is this normal ? I thought this size rim should fit with no rubbing.

Perhaps a strut/spring issue ?

Thanks

350Z wheels have a lower offset, which means the wheels stick out further.

Live with it or modify the fenders...
