Upgraded Brakes

I got some dimple drilled and slotted rotors from

http://brakeperformance.com/site/index.php?ad=direct

Here are a few pics from the install.

The pics are poor and the wheels are dirty thanks to mother nature. And i missed a few shots in rush beat the rain that was coming but I'm sure you'll get the idea.

Before:

After:

I wish i took a pic before driving off. The black rotors behind the rim would have been a sexy pic.

Better pics will come with better weather and a wash.

Criticism welcome.

Oh and i know i need to paint the calipers. Don't mention it LOL

did you do it yourself? looks like it.

Looks good. I plan to do the same, keep stock rims but put new rotors and pads.

Oh yeah you should have painted the calipers LMAO I Am messing with u.

Tell us how they perform, I like the looks of those prices
I Am looking at some R1 concepts and other choices other than EBCs

oh yeah, this topic is probably beaten to death

Yeah i put them on myself. The caliper brackets were hard to come off, but a lead pipe and a broken ratchet later the came off.

I like the way the feel. Alot of stopping power alot.

I like these. It was an efficient upgrade. Didn't cost a lot but i feel a big difference. I don't know about the other brands of rotors out there, but this is my DD no track or anything so this is great for me. Maybe not for everyone

You should not try to free seized bolts with a ratchet... use a breaker bar

Nice job! The install is easy, I did it last year and what a difference. They actually are cheaper than the OEM rotors. I didn't paint my calipers but by next brake job I am going to need new ones so I will paint those.

Nice job on the install. the rotors look great behind those rims. I'm gonna be doing mine soon. RTP zinc plated dimple/slotted rotors with Axis ceramic pads... can't wait!

What's the difference between the dimple-drilled and the cross-drilled?

Cross drilled goes straight through the rotor to the other side.

Dimples are just that dimples.

I dont know performance wise what the difference is, but u have read about cross drilled rotors cracking, and the site i purchased them from had a Life time warranty on the dimpled rotors and not the cross drilled. So for me it was a no brainer

Ceramic or bimetal pads???? They sell both.

Should you lube anything on the caliper when changing the pads???

The only thing to remember when changing pads is to reuse and relube (anti-squeak grease) the shims clamped to the pads.

Brake jobs (pads) are a piece of cake on our cars.

My pads came with new clips and all...
