My pads are due for a replacement, should I have the rotors turned? They look fine. If they look fine, will I get anything better on the braking if I change them for rotopros blanks or whatever, or it will be just like stock?

Many mechanics will probably disagree, but I have never had a positive experience when turning rotors. I recommend using the rotors as is, and replace when you really need to. I prefer ceramic, they run colder and reduce braking distance. Not to mention, they practically last forever.

You should turn ur rotors when u get new pads.

I had mine resurfaced when I changed the rotors. Didnt feel like it would be worth it swapping rotors which were gonna be the same size.

Ceramic are supposed to brake a bit less than HPS, but less dust and less noise. I honestly dont know what to get.

My front pads are 5mm (stock is 9.something), so I guess they arent worth replacing, but rears are like 3-4, so they are near.

Do you replace them only when at 2mm like nissan says? Worth replacing all 4 pads?

How long will it take for the rear pads to loose another 1-2mm? Replace now, wait, etc ?

What year you have? You should cut the rotors but the 04' and 05' were notorious for the rotors being crap and warping. Not worth it then. I replaced with drilled and slotted and saw a huge improvement and I think I can get one cut out of them next time around.

I think the original owner changed the OEm rotors already cause they aint OEM.
They are probably some canadian tire or napa rotors, but they are just fine (and probably quite new)

I say turn 'em. I have always had my rotors turned regardless of how smooth the disk was during the change. Just makes for peace of mind. Both pad and rotor surface will be new, so they will wear together.

Should I get Hawk HPS or ceramic? Really cant decide.

Do hawk ceramic brake noticeably less compared to HPS, or it's just theorical? I dont do track, just day to day agressive driving.

for the cost of turning you can get new ones for a little more...makes no sense turning especially slotted and/or drilled.
