Unknown connector on 6.5 Gen

Hey guys, need help identifying a connector that I found while messing around with the plastic liners.

Found this connector just hanging there. It was pushed through the plastic shield. Doesn't look like it belonged there as there are no cutouts for the wire.

I traced the wire, as far as I could. It's coming in, with the fog light connector and is clipped to the frame below the fog light itself. I cannot find any place that this thing connects in that vicinity. Passenger side does not have this wire or connector.

Anyone got a clue? Ground? If so, where does it connect?

First shot is of the general vicinity to show the area I'm talking about.
2nd shot is of the connector.

Thanks

I found that to awhile back.
My guess is that it takes the Temperature for the info screen.

That actually makes sense, considering the tip is plastic. I guess I don't need it, since I replaced the factory Bose HU 2yrs ago. Thanks

You'll still want it if you want to see what the outside temp is. It doesn't plug into the bose, it plugs into the info screens computer.

Isn't it also used in conjunction with the engine block heater?

Well, on the 07', the info screen plugs into the HU. So does everything else. Without the HU, no info screen.
