Steering Wheel Audio Controls

Does anyone know how i can remove the steering wheel audio controls to replace them. There is a chunk that cracked off the plastic shroud and i spoke to the stealership and they said i would have to buy the switches aswell which is almost $200. I can't find any information as to how to remove them.

The switches can be removed, but it requires complete disassembly of the steering wheel. The screws that hold the switches on the wheel are behind the rear cover, which can only be removed after the steering wheel is off the car.
