so my buddy owns a shop (4 bays) and over the past few months, ive helped him out with some labor on customers cars (oil changes, tire installations, etc) when he was short a mechanic. he tried to pay me, but i wouldnt take any money from him...

today, i go to the shop to change my oil/filter/front pads/rotors and he asked me to help him move some new equipment (alignment machine/heads, loaded drawers (nuts/bolts/studs/o-rings)) from a local shop thats closing.

anyway- i told him to just run my car through the shop as i really didnt feel like doing it myself. after the 2nd trip to the other shop, we come back and my car is finished.

he hands my the bill which reads "install customer supplied brakes/rotors/oil... $0.00"

Some shops have more parts than others as well...
