Has anyone every tried to remove the factory radio and installed an aftermarket one and left the factory screen..? When you install an aftermarket radio will you lose your screen..? When I say screen, I mean the screen that tells you the weather, trip distance, distance in miles to empty, door open, time, etc.. Overall, I would like to keep the factory screen and see if it works with an aftermarket radio.. Has anyone every done it yet..?

 

U should be able to. I think u need a certain module/harness to retain the trip data. Don't mean to steal ur thread but I 've also been wondering if anyone has done it with factory nav.?

 

Yes, there is a module to install to keep your LCD screen options. However I cant find the link. CRAP!!!

It is a small 4 button module.... I hope someone has the link and can post it. It costs between $50-$70
