BOSE Speaker problem

My driver side speaker seems to fade in and out in a warped fashion when i crank my car after work evry nite.. Then after riding for about 10 minutes they resume to wrk normal. It just started about a week ago..
I knew this day would come the way i listen to my music but what exactly is the prob and what is there for me to prepare or prevent it from blowing??

Any idea how much $$ this is gonna set me back?
Do i have to take it to Nissan and let them rape my pockets?
Is it possible to fix myself?

Just need a little assistance on a prblem waiting to happen..

Mine has just started to do this at times as well.

I'll notice the driver tweeter isn't on so I give a little tap to the side of the radio.

Comes right on. I figure somethings come loose but haven't had the urge to tear into it yet.

Your problem might be something similar, but if it's not you have a PM.

Could the car battery cause this???

Possibly your car battery is running low on juice?

I had a problem with my last max. the automatic windows started to take a longer to roll up. A few weeks later my battery died... i replaced it and my windows roll up much faster.

Go to the dealer and have them replace it under warranty. Got mine replaced last month. The drivers side would fade in and out. Didn't know what it was doing until the drivers side speakers completely faded out. If you set the balance all the way to the driver side and still don't hear the volume right then its a problem with the cd player. Bose does not make the head unit.

When i come to stop it fades... When i send all audio to the driver side speakers it sounds distorted (like a warping sound) as if its that entire side of the vehicle.. Both subs and other speakers work perfect.

I dont know if its the battery because i just got a new one a year ago..

Thats what mine did. Every speaker including the sub on the drivers side was almost out. I had no idea what the problem was. Sometimes the system would bump and then it would not bump as hard. I thought it was the battery at first too. Until the drivers side went in and out. If I hit a bump sometimes the sound would pop back in or out. If sound does not fade to the left than thats not the battery but the head unit.

Yes, I don't know what was going on with it but it was replaced with a new unit/changer. Sounds like new again. The rearview mirrors can shake if I crank it loud enough.

Well I purchased my car used from carmax a few years ago w 10k miles on it so I doubt I can take it back to a nissan dlr and have it simply replaced..

I was also wodering if any1 knew if it is possible to replace the currnt stereo with that of the navigation version from the same generation? If it came down to entirely replacing it I might as well go wit the navi.. Just wanted to know cuz Im going to nissan Friday so any suggestions would b appreciated

This is a very common problem with our cars. There is a tiny solder joint deep inside the head unit that breaks but not completely. Your stereo will loose the drivers side, then come back fine or distorted and just keep doing that over and over. I finally got tired of it and bought an Eclipse head unit. http://forums.maxima.org/audio-elect...-stock-hu.html

If you are under warranty replace it, if not save yourself some grief and just go aftermarket. Good Luck

This sucks.. I like the look of all the original components.. Mainly the purpose I bought the car but Im going to inquire about the stock navi and if I don't like those results I guess I have no choice but to go aftermarket.. Anyone knw where I can purchase a replacement unit or if the navi is even compatible in all maximas (same gen of course)

Appreciate the help everyone..

anyone has this problem where there's a buzz from all speakers, AND a high pitch sound.
The high pitch changes tone with rpm.. meaning when i'm driving, the pitch gets even worse. I'm getting a migraine... anyone encountered this problem before..?

I have 07 max Bose.

I have this problem as well in my 05 SL. It started happening after 1 year into using my new Avic D3 head unit. Sometimes the music cuts back in after a day or so on the driver side. Something is def loose in there. Not sure where to start though

I just bought a 07 and I was wondering, when using the bluetooth phone system does yours only use the front right speakers or all of them, because mine only uses the front right? Thanks

same issue, but only with the rear speakers. It usually starts out fine on a cold start, but if i hit a bump, only the front speakers will play

Bose speaker problem

I have a 2005 SE with the same issue, but only with the rear speaker on the passenger side. Can somebody give some hints with this?

Thanks

How many people are going to join this thread saying they have the same problem, and asking for a solution? The answers are in the first couple of posts...YOUR HEAD UNIT IS BAD!
